Challenges

InspireXT developed a real-time, customer-facing Stock Finder application using Oracle APEX, seamlessly integrated with Oracle Fusion Cloud modules: Inventory, Product Information Management (PIM), and Pricing. This scalable, low-code solution empowers users to search and view inventory availability across multiple organisations, providing live, accurate data to support purchasing and planning decisions.

Despite leveraging Oracle Fusion Cloud, the client faced significant hurdles in exposing inventory information efficiently to end users: 

  • Disjointed Data Sources: Inventory and item data resided across separate Oracle Fusion modules, creating a fragmented view and making cross-functional data retrieval complex and error-prone. 
  • Lack of Unified Search Interface: Users had to navigate through multiple systems or screens to access complete stock, item, and pricing data, slowing down operations and increasing manual effort. 
  • Data Synchronisation Gaps: Updates made to item or inventory data weren’t instantly reflected across systems, leading to inconsistencies and outdated visibility for users. 

These limitations made it difficult to offer accurate, real-time stock information to both internal teams and external customers-impacting fulfilment planning and customer satisfaction. 

Solution

To address these challenges, InspireXT leveraged Oracle APEX, Oracle’s low-code application development platform, to rapidly design and deploy a responsive, real-time inventory visibility application. 

This customer-facing Stock Finder solution was tightly integrated with Oracle Fusion Cloud’s Inventory, PIM, and Pricing modules using REST APIs, delivering:

  • A centralised, intuitive search interface 
  • Real-time inventory updates across multiple organisations 
  • Enhanced user experience for both internal users and external customers 
  • Secure, role-based access for personalised views and controls
