Polpharma is the largest Polish manufacturer of pharmaceuticals and a leader in the industry, with operations in Europe and Central Asia. With over 85 years of expertise in the pharmaceutical industry, Polpharma is always on the lookout to set high standards and move the industry forward. Wanting to accelerate the time to market of a drug, it was imperative for Polpharma to develop a new approach which offers best-in-class solutions for manufacturing, integrating it with the way products are packaged for customers. A new streamlined approach would enable faster, more efficient, secured, and more effective ways of designing packaging materials and artworks alongside its own manufacturing and other 3rd party manufacturers.
Solution
Polpharma teamed with InspireXT to modernise the processes that delivered the identified opportunities. With extensive expertise and knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing and PLM processes, InspireXT architected and designed the end-to-end process and strategically introduced Oracle Agile PLM to complement the existing technology assets to deliver critical new capabilities.
Solution Components
InspireXT implemented the solution using Oracle Agile PLM and Agile – SAML integration. The solution was integrated using InspireXT
solution utilities to co-exist with:
- Agile to SAML Integration for product lifecycle management
- TrackWise
- Oracle EBS for manufacturing and core ERP processes
Results
The solution offers a significant depth of functionality using out-of-the-box processes. Implementation can therefore be accelerated whilst reducing downstream complexities, risks and further costs associated with customisation or solution gaps. This is all maintained alongside supporting the long-term needs of the business.
As a result of this major transformation, Polpharma reduced the cycle times on preparation of packaging materials by 60% and helped in
achieving early time to market of the drug.
