What the Oracle EPM Clinic covered
InspireXT and Oracle ran three online Oracle EPM Clinics for Singapore finance teams on 26 March, 30 April and 21 May 2026. Each one-hour session gave Oracle EPM Cloud users time with InspireXT’s EPM consultants to work through live problems in planning, consolidation and month-end close. These are questions Singapore finance teams regularly raise with our EPM team.
Can an unstable FCCS consolidation be fixed without reimplementing?
In most cases, yes. Consolidation rules, calculation scripts, intercompany setup and data loads can all be corrected in the live application. For a global packaging manufacturer, InspireXT stabilised consolidation and balancing this way. The client kept its historical data and configuration, and its finance team stopped balancing numbers in offline spreadsheets.

What does SFRS(I) 18 change for Oracle EPM users?
SFRS(I) 18 replaces SFRS(I) 1-1 for reporting periods starting on or after 1 January 2027. Income and expenses move into new categories, including operating, investing and financing, with new required subtotals. Companies must also disclose management-defined performance measures. In Oracle EPM, that means updating account mappings, FCCS forms and reports, and Narrative Reporting packs.
Does this apply to companies not listed on SGX?
Yes. Non-listed companies reporting under SFRS apply FRS 118, which is identical to SFRS(I) 18 and IFRS 18. The same changes to Oracle EPM apply.
When should the EPM changes start?
Before the 2026 year-end close. The standard applies retrospectively, so a company with a December year-end must restate its 2026 figures in the new format when it reports for 2027. Mapping the 2026 data correctly now saves rework next year.
